Upon This "ROCK" I Will Build My Church And The Gates Of "HELL" Shall NotPrevailAgainst It. Matthew 16-18
Statement Of Faith
For In the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: In the secret of his tabernacle
shall he hide me ; he shall set me upon a rock . And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me : therefore will i offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy ; i will sing, yea, i will sing praises unto the Lord.
Our desire is that everyone will find consolation in Jesus Christ and our endeavour is to meet you where you are and offer Christ to you
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God.
We believe that there is One God, eternally existent in three Persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ at His return.
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin, is through repentance, faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ and being baptized in water.
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing in prayer.
We believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who asks for it.
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a Holy and separated life in this present world, Amen
Maranatha Church had its beginning June, 1989 under the leadership of Pastor M. C. Jones, located at 3313 Creekmont, Houston, Texas.
In December, 1994 the church re-located to 9122 Brandon Street in the Sunnyside Area, where our church services have been held for the last 14 years. During this time the property was purchased and paid for within 5 years.
God has tremendously given the increase to our membership within the 19 years that the church has been in existence.
We certainly thank God for the progress and accomplishments that the church has made during this time. They have been large and small.
With the support and love from our dear members friends and love ones, Maranatha Church is destined to grow more and more; stronger and stronger in our Lord Jesus Christ
